The Way Things Are

So as I think about the way things work out sometimes, you know how people just fall into your path for no reason, but you get along famously even if you don't agree on everything. Yeah, that happened to me. I met this wonderful woman at the Writers Conference. I will keep in touch because she was awesome. a shout out to Vivian. If I become friends, you better not move Viv, just sayin. It's the only reason I have only internet friends. they can move all they want and still keep in touch. 

Obituary of the American way of Life as sent to me in an email

I beg you please pay attention to what is happening.

We live in a country that is the best the world has ever seen.
It will soon be gone if we are Apathetic to what they (The ruling class) are doing.
We need to pay attention to details and little things.

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinborough, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

 

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in  St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:
 
Number of States won by:          Obama: 19          McCain: 29
Square miles of land won by:      Obama: 580,000    McCain: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by:    Obama: 127 million  McCain: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:  Obama: 13.2
McCain: 2.1 
 
Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was
mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income
tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the  United States  is now somewhere between the
"complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy,
with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached
the "governmental dependency" phase.
 
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal
invaders called illegal's - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the
USA  in fewer than five years.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake,

knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

This is truly scary! Of course we are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional  Republic . Someone should point this out to Obama. Of course we know he and too many others pay little attention to The Constitution. There couldn't be more at stake than on Nov 2012.

My reply follows but I'd like everyone to weight in, cuz I'm so tiredof seeing Obama villanized. What are you going to do with all the illegal workers anyway? yes give them amnesty, let them pay taxes, cuz now they are living for free. We pay the Mediaid, the bills, they pay nothing. Time for someone to do SOMETHING. Amnesty is not a bad idea, they are gonna live here anyway and have for over 50 years. I like that plan. Ok here is my reply to the above email. BTW Iam not talking to anyone in particular, just MY opinion, so please weigh in.

This is very interesting about the democracy and apathy and all. As far as Obama and McCain go,I could not disagree more. McCain would have kept us in bondage like GW Bush did, the illegal war costing us well over 3 TRILLION dollars so far. Again I say illegal war. We had no right to invade Iraq, there were no WMD's per NATO and none have been found as of yet 10 years later.

He should have concentrated on Bin Laden. Obama got him. So with the right wing supporting and twisting the facts, if McCain had that much more voting stuff, he would have won the presidency. The middle class pays for this country. The rich, McCains people as well as the Republican party's people pay next to nothing and they can afford it. We can't. I owed over $12,000 to the IRS this year after I already paid from my paycheck. So bullshit on the Obama/McCain comparisons. McCain would have everything as GW Bush had set it up. Did we need 4 more years of that? Talk about apathy, look at the Katrina incident.

At least Obama is trying. Yep, he got most the black vote,also the middle class vote. McCain got the rich vote and some middle class. Now would you actually want Sarah Palin in that VP position? She is an idiot. Her father is school teacher and she says and I quote "Oh Paul Revere, yeah, he went to, to, to tell the English they could not have our arms." Really Sarah? Your dad must be so proud. What a moron. She thinks Africa is a country. Seriously a moron. she cannot take criticism at all. She must be praised all the time. She has proved that over and over. She would be in line to be President if something were to happen to McCain. No way. Too stupid, too greedy and too much of a media whore.

I totally agree with the democracy cycle tho. I think we are in apathy now. Obama did not put us there. If you believe everything the right wing fanatics tell us about him, he is the Anti christ, the doom of America, etc. Nobody can undo what GW Bush did to this country in a 2 term presidency. it is going to take at least 6 presidents in a 2 term presidency to fix this country after Bush. he destroyed us, sold us to China and cared naught for the middle class.

Obama has had to make concessions to the primarily Republican house and senate like extending the tax breaks for the wealthy and signing the Patriot Act for another 4 years just to get his legislation passed. Political blackmail. Sad. The wealthy just want to be wealthier and the middle class is paying the bill. Look at property taxes, other taxes just to keep us afloat.  

So Blogger followers, do you agree Obama has screwed this country more than Bush or any of the hype the right wing extremists are spouting or do you think he is trying with a very hard position of having a Republican House and Senate? We went from "Yes We CAN" to "Not a CHANCE Mr. President." with the last election of primarily Republicans. 

Look at Donald Trump. Really dude? Are you serious? YAY you got the long form Birth Certificate that Hawaiian law forbids because the state dept had already checked his eligibility. You are a moron Chump, but a very wealthy one. Way to go. But you have money to burn, so the time it took away from government things happening was well spent huh? Now, like Obama says, let's concentrate on important matters of state and forget the Birth Certificate bullshit. Like Obama said to you during the White House Correspondence Dinner. What REALLY happened to Biggie & Tupac? WAS the Moon Landing Faked? What's REALLY in Area 51? those are really important, just like that birth certificate was. 

Would you have demanded McCains Birth Certificate? He was born in Panama. A territory at the time, the Canal zone, as was Hawaii.

So Chump, you arrogant bastard, spend some money on finding out those important matters the president asked you about.

I swear someone is going to get punched in the face this week

Ok. So been trying for days to order my birthday lingerie. Got it all done, decided on a different thing BTW, but not a lot different, just color mostly. Added another Bday gift from them and 1 other thing, got it all ordered hit submit and the asses working outside WITH A FREAKING LOCATE cut my telephone and internet off. Right in the middle of the order. I was SOOOO pissed off.Then the telephone company I used to work for tells me oh yeah we'll be out in 3-5 days to fix it, now everything has to go through my wireless wifi, which is fine but it took FOREVER to configure on this new laptop. KILL ME....

So now  don't mind using MiFi at all, but what a pain in my ass. The coupons for bday lingerie were no longer valid. Used them when i hit submit. Now the SUPER NICE LADY, JADA over at Jada Michaels has been an absolute angel about all this and she has re-entered the coupons so many times. She is an absolute angel. If you do business with a lingerie company, I HIGHLY recommend jadamichaels.com She is so helpful and nice. Something to think about ladies for that special man in your life.Or just to prance around in front of a mirror for yourself. I do enjoy admiring myself. Why shouldn't you?

Otherwise life in the Last Frontier is calm now that I can breathe and have internet again. Still pissed off at Steve Jobs for making that incredible iTunes program.Cuz you know if you ain't got an iPhone, you ain't got an iPhone. I believe they all run off the same operating system. Bastard makes it so difficult to do anything on a PC. I really wanna choke him. Really. Not even kidding. Seriously. I could. Just sayin...

Little chilly out today, but I still managed to do some cleaning and weeding out of the craft room so I can get rid of that crap in there. So much crap.... I just can't be creative without somebody to share the artistry with. I made some gorgeous stuff tho, some Deco Books, actual books made out of my children's wedding cards. The cards were the pages, used bookcloth and really just gorgeous. Made some incredible greeting cards too & spectacular scrapbooks.Gonna miss the stuff, but really I haven't used in so long it makes no sense to keep it all. so made a dent in the craft room, soon to be writing room.

Gonna go visit some old co workers tomorrow I think. Well they aren't old, I am, so will visit young, hip ex co-workers. They love me.

So for now my followers have a good day, gonna get some food, rest and do more work in craft room tomorrow.

Ranting today....uh oh

So for my birthday i got a new laptop, which I needed badly. Was seriously ready to throw the old one out. Never stayed on a page without having to close it constantly to reboot. Ok great, so I trot myself over to the Geek Squad at Best Buy to have all my data transferred. None of the stories I'm working on came over, thank God I had the sense to back them up by emailing them all to myself. Ok crisis averted.

Then I call today to see if the computer is ready, leave the customer service chick my name spelled really s   l    o     w    l      y so she could get all the letters correct cuz it ain't easy, left a a specific message that when the computer was ready to pick up, call me at a different number than I provided. I get a call 20 minutes later saying "uh yeah, I have a message to call you." Really????? She couldn't write down the message? Really????? Ok so computer is ready. I pick it up. Takes me about 2 hours how to get just my pics. Seriously, they need to tell you where they put this shit. Fine, Pics all there. Thank the Lord...

I'd also like to give a shout out to Steve Jobs. Hey Steve!!! Thanks so much for the iTunes program that took me over 6 FUCKING hours to put all 1000 songs BACK into the playlists they were already in and then thanks so much for letting me transfer my iPod to the new computer which I evidently can only get a new computer 5 times to transfer the music. WTHF???? Anyway Steve, kudos to you for such a FAB program. So user friendly so easy to download it all. If you are a rocket scientist, which I was going for, but I understand it required mathematical skills. So WOW, you are the bomb. Especially since I have no life but  to try to figure your totally proprietary crap out. So "shout out!" You jackass.

While on that subject, I am now trying to figure out how to put this new computer together. It is awesome, and way more than I need, but useful as hell once I get it all squared away. Just getting a browser was a chore. I think I may have to visit Geeks for instructions. Cuz I can't find shit on this thing, Hey did figure out how to blog. Yes, important stuff that.

It was so nice out today until I emerged from the car wash, I swear to God, it was sunny when I drove in and pouring 10 minutes later. Shoulda stayed in today. But needed the testimony of a co worker for my unemployment hearing. Got that, got it notarized and now I'm very traumatized. I may have to write a poem or something. Right now a freaking glass of wine sounds good, but I don't drink. So drugs? Nah, i don't do that either and I quit smoking like 3 years ago. I'm screwed  for vices. Anyone got a suggestion?

I saw my daughter in law on her blog got a new gun for her anniversary. She looks pretty sexy shooting that thing. I'm sure my son thought so. Also helpful since they have 4 girls. A great deterrent for any potential suitors in 20 years. Perhaps shooting something would be a good thing? I have a gun or two handy. Just sayin....

So this computer had 3D, touch screen, blue ray AND a light up keyboard.  I think I'm gonna love it once I figure it all out. It only took me 6 years to get the dinosaur figured out. Sheesh. I really am going to go the Geeks to find my crap I had on the other computer. I looked in folders, after an hour or so and  screaming at Ashley to help me, I found the pics. I need to get to writing soon. I've only written poems lately. Need to work on the novel.

So friends any suggestions would be great. Everyone knows I'm a techno idiot. Also having to deal with the stupid MAC program. It's like freaking algebra whatever the hell that is. Really way above my head. I can work any smartphone and tell you in detail how to fix it, how to use it, but any other electronic is beyond me except the Xoom tablet.It is a Droid X with no phone. Which reminds me....

I now must download a new program to sync with iTunes and then transfer it all to tablet....again...This is KILLING me. I am happy I have the new computer tho. Gonna be so worth it once I figure it out.

So since I can't seem to get the hang of posting a pic and then continuing with post I have to break it into new post. We went to Cafe Croissant, a lovely french restaurant that I love. They have REAL french onion soup there and I had Scallops & saffron infused rice with asparagus. So good. And a piece of chocolate cake.
