Ok so y'all have probably heard the news about Netflix by now. The price for it was $9.99 for unlimited keep as long as you want DVD rentals and streaming video which is great for TV series. Now I understand the cost of doing business. Netflix marketing VP has said that they have 23 million subscribers and the 40,000 or so that are complaining he is ok to lose.
This idiot must know nothing about marketing. First of all, they raised the price, Ok fine. Now it is $7.99 per month for DVD rental keep for as long as you want. PLUS $7.99 for streaming videos. That is full price for each service. Since not all titles are available for streaming, I wouldn't go with that. too many other options for what I watch.
What pissed me off about him being ok losing 40,000 customers is that does this moron not know that for every customer who leaves, they take 10 with them? Does he not realize that the 40,000 are giving an opportunity to fix it? What should scare the ass is the other 23 million that aren't saying anything, they just walk away. IDIOT,
Now had he presented like you know the cost of business is going up so we are going to charge an extra $4 for streaming capabilities. Instead of here are two separate packages, pay full price for both. I have until Sept 1st to decide on whether to keep them or not. With Hulu, Amazon, who jumped right in as soon as that announcement was made and gave all it's Prime members free streaming video. Then you have Blockbuster, HBOGO, TV.COM and so many more. I'm thinking Netflix can kiss my ass and my NEVER late bill up their ass.
