Google+ Profiles: Just What Gets You Booted?

Google+ Profiles: Just What Gets You Booted?

So today is a rant folks cuz this just pisses me off. Clink on the link, read the article and see my reply below:

The problem I have with being forced to use real life names as opposed to a name you want to known as is Domestic Violence. Has Google even thought about the amount of victims that want to connect and not hide anymore. Does Google have any idea how many victims are in hiding and if their spouses or ex spouses find them what may very likely happen to them? Does Google have any idea what the Hell they are doing? Does Google care if I use Google+ or say screw you Google, I'll stick with Facebook and Twitter where I can use a pseudonym. Does Google want to take the civil responsibility of the consequences of those people who are in hiding and forced to use their real names? Sure, I know, we certainly have no obligation to use Google's new social media. Yep they're right. Just like the lady that drank the hot coffee at McDonalds and it too hot for her. She sued, won a couple hundred thousand dollars. Now who wouldn't expect the coffee to be hot? Still, the law prevailed on her side. Does Google want me (and I use it in the 1st person only for easier to read purposes) to just say Hey thanks google+ but no thanks, I can connect fine on LOTS of other social media and i don't really care about yours. Because you have taken anonymity away from me. So Good luck with that venture and i'll be sure to advise the worldwide organization I volunteer for on the domestic violence issue to stay away too. Better those few million people in hiding all over the world stay away from the rigidity of Google+ I will also be more than happy to go to my local shelters, rape victims right organizations and let them know that this is not the social media outlet for them. You have to give your rapist your real name. After they spent all that time in jail based on your testimony and so what if you moved to a new state, country or town? Google+ doesn't care about you, your privacy or anything else.

On the other hand, I see Google+ point of view, a lot of very sketchy characters could be hiding out in the nether regions of the vast internet. Altho, they are already firmly ensconced. In my opinion my fear outweighs Google+ rigidity and my domestic violence, rape victims needs far outweigh the use of a real name on Google+ So I may just have to say adios Google+ too bad, cuz I kinda liked the format. food for thought Google. I know you guys that founded Google must be about 27 by now, but surely you do understand the dangers for Violence, murder and rape in the case of using your real name. If not, I suggest you familiarize yourself with say Witness protection or something along those lines.

How insensitive can you possibly be Google+ ? Really expected so much more from you. In fact i would have been the 1st to say how much I love my Google. All of my accounts and services I use thru them. There are just so many other choices.

Lots of goodies today.

Ok so I know I've been promising a recipe for awhile now, so today you get one. I am not a baker, I especially don't bake from scratch and barely bake from a box. So keep that in mind for this recipe. I decided to give you a recipe I knew would work because evidently mine is missing a few ingredients like the cookie dough part. I'm sure, but it seems to me that if you're gonna make cookies, you'll be needing that mix. I believe I had the mix at one point and my recipe card says to mix the cookie mix with the ingredients, so I must have attached it somehow. STOP LAUGHING!!! Cuz i gots one HELL of a recipe for Eggplant Parmesan that you would KILL for. Be nice or I won't share my super secret recipe when I get around to it.

Orange Dream-sickle Cookies

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 firmly packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons orange zest (for me that was the zest of 2 oranges)
2 cups Guitard Choc-Au-Lait Vanilla Chips (I used Ghirardelli white chips)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add flour mixture until combined. Stir in orange zest and chips.

Orange Dream sickle Cookies
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Do not flatten cookies; it will make them dry. Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until golden brown around edges. Do not overcook! Cookies will be plump. Cool for several minutes on cookie sheets before transferring to rack to cool completely. Store in airtight container.

Ok so there is a new recipe for you to try out. Let me know how they taste my little guinea pigs!

So I got me a new Disco Ball, I don't remember if I told you or not,but it is about 8 inches around 2 lights that sparkle when it rotates. Awesome then. So when I Disco dance when I wake up, I have the Disco ball to get me in the mood. Yes I did bedazzle my own jumpsuit. I have a feather boa too. Thinking about those platform boots from Mamma Mia. I be a stylin'. You know it, don't be hatin'

Making progress in the craft room. I think I have someone who might want some of the 'found' art stuff. At least take some maps and travel related stuff off my hands. That will be nice. So while I whittle it down, I have the closet done, one corner, one whole wall that has all the stuff I'm gonna sell, and now working on the desk and table. One those are done, one drawer full of scrapbooking stuff, or I call the nightmare drawer. For some of that I may just have a yard sale. Lots of stickers and pens and that sort of thing. Stamps are a nightmare already. I knew I had a couple thousand, but i think I have way more. So how about a craft tip as well as a recipe?

No I will not be sharing a poem today although if you want to check out the one I had published you can find it here. http://www.thepixelproject.net/--blog The name of the poem is "How to Gain a Life"

Ok Craft tip of the day. Sponges.Yep, sponges. Different types, textures, etc. Use them to put a nice background on your paper. just dab on the color pad, then  dab on your paper. you will be amazed at the backgrounds you can create. Again, use different textures. Sea sponges, makeup sponges, cleaning sponges whatever you can find is awesome. Use different colors for different textures on your paper. then do whatever you were gonna to begin with. Gives your paper a little oomph. So today learn to play with colors and textures, next I'll tell you how to use stickers that are not flat and 2 dimensional. Hope that stirs up those creative juices.

Hmmm, let's see. Oh yes, I went to see Harry Potter, the last(?) one. We'll see. I'm not gonna tell you the story. But let's suffice it to say that Rick Riordan successfully did 5 Percy Jackson & the Olympians books. He then went on to create a new series. I'm not saying that J.K. Rowling hasn't earned enough money or fame or time off. I'm just saying that when you write, you can't just stop. You can take a break for a few years, but you will always return to writing. The things in your head need to get out and on paper. It is something you must do. Like designing, you can't stop. If you do, you will do it in your head and then you'll have to write it down to release it from your head. Writing is the same thing. it must be released. It doesn't have to be good. It just needs to leave.

With that my friends I wish you a fond good night. Till next time... #peaceout

Check out this video Get the Best LBD for You

Check out this great MSN video: Fit Lab: Get the Best LBD for You

this is a great video. LBD means little black dress. You should NEVER be without one in your wardrobe arsenal. Perhaps that will tonight's subject. Yes. Let's talk fashion shall we?

I go to any store, market or mall and I swear to GOD I want to THROW my business cards at people and scream at them, you need me, you REALLY, REALLY need me.

So everyone, pajamas ARE NOT ok to go out in. They are fine for lounging about the house, but not to go to the mall. Not to go the movies nor to a restaurant. Once you leave your front porch, have some actual CLOTHING on. I have no idea when pajamas became acceptable fashion wear to go out in. I don't are if you are just running to the store or grabbing gas. When you leave the house, you need a top, a bottom and usually shoes of some sort.

I don't care if you wear a bra or not unless you need to, then have some pity on those of us that have to look at you. I don't care if you wear underwear underwear unless you are wearing a dress or skirt that shows your ass. BTW, in that case I must tell you something very disturbing. Are you sitting down? If your dress or skirt is that short, someone has obviously stolen the rest of your dress or skirt. I have no idea who these nefarious people are, but they are RAMPANT... so be careful and if your dress or skirt has been heisted, wear underwear. For God's sake. We have to look at you and I will throw a business card at you.

So for those followers that do not already know, I am a personal stylist. I will teach you how to camouflage those areas that bulge a bit, how to wear a bra that actually fits, how to walk in heels. I will show you how to look great and pull it off with absolute confidence. A pair of jeans and a shirt. No makeup is fine, that in a minute, hair up or a cap on, fine. Nice low maintenance outfit. With jeans, heels look best and make you walk SASSY... everyone say it with me SASSY!! No I am NOT kidding. A t-Shirt is fine. maybe some earrings, but accessories not essential and you are in an easy outfit, no PJ's and look FABULOUS...Confidence is the key.

For night, use the camouflage under your dress or whatever you are wearing. Accessorize the outfit even if just jeans. If jeans, go with a sweater or a tank with a cardigan or coverup over it. Use makeup. Again PJ's NOT ok for nightwear unless you are sleeping.

Also PLEASE people a $5000 fur coat and birkenstocks is not a fashion choice, it is fashion MURDER!!!

Make-up.....Yeah, STOP overdoing it. Daytime makeup should be a powder or foundation that has sunscreen. Sunscreen is ESSENTIAL ladies. It will stop you from aging. So a light lip gloss, lipstick or lipstain, a bronzer or light blush and mascara is all you need for the daytime. You do not need all the eyeshadow, eyeliner, etc. Not for day. Unless you are going to an event. More on that in a minute.

Nighttime makeup, if you are light skinned, use a light eyeshadow. Light on the bottom, dark in the crease & really light on the brow. A darker shade in the corners of your eyes. So make sure you are using the correct eye color for your skin shade. You do not want to look like a French whore. Use eyeliner and false eyelashes are fun. All the daytime makeup protocol would apply just add the eye stuff. A darker blush and lipstick. I use a product called Lipchic it is available at www.lipchic.com you apply it after your lipstick, and your lipstick stays on thru eating, drinking and the entire night.

Going to a daytime event? Light makeup is fine or eyeshadows and eyeliners are too. Keep them light in color tho. No false eyelashes for a daytime event. Accessories are essential for a daytime event. At the very least drop earrings. Minimal is best.

NEVER EVER go to bed with your make up on your face. It will sink into the pores and cake and give you breakouts and make your face age faster. ALWAYS remove makeup, use a toner, (I use generic witch hazel) then moisturize your eyes with an eye cream, your face with a night cream and your lips with vaseline.

In the morning, remove the heavy moisturizers by washing your face (I use Oil of Olay facial cloths) use toner, then eye cream, a very light moisturizer with SPF and lip conditioner. Moisturizer doesn't really matter, but I do like Olay products. I like Beauty Control and Almay.

If you are not going anywhere, give your face a rest from makeup while you are home. If you run to the store or to grab a coffee, give your face a break. It will keep you looking younger. If you have puffy eyes, use (I know it sounds ridiculous) some Preparation H cream on them and the puffiness goes away like magic.

Some tips on exfoliation. Scrubs. If you have tender skin, don't use them, they will tear your skin on your face. Use a mask instead. Then wash, use toner, moisturize. For lips, you can buy a really expensive product, or put some sugar on a toothbrushand gently go in circles on your lips. Voila! you now have smooth lips. use a conditioner or vaseline on them then.

Well I hope this has been helpful and informative. Let me know if you have specific questions.

So today's topic not too bad. I Love Fashion so it's easy to write about and to advise on. Trust me I am a professional.

Till next time my beloved followers.

Wednesday Night Rant

Hi all,

You know some people take all the fun out of being nice. I am always shocked at how rude people can be. I hear all the time that I am, but I am more of a ~ let me tell you what I need, you get it for me, I pay you for it and done ~quick an efficient. I guarantee you nobody cares about my day altho they will ask about it, they don't care about anything I have to say. All they want is for you to tell them what you  need, let them get it for you, pay them and adios. So I hear that I am rude because I don't care to engage in small talk. Because I am blunt and don't ever ask me something you don't want the answer to. So if that counts as rude, ok.

What I'm talking about is people that fail to share basic manners. No thank you for a special thing you may have done, no saying anything nicely to you, even if you reach out. My fellow blogger, had a post similar to this. I am a nice, thoughtful person. Often I can be blunt, evidently misconstrued as rude. Not meant that way, but people want everything sugar coated. I am simply saying, you reach out to a friend, do everything and that friend may or may not even show up.

Am I alone in this? No, I see people yelling at sales clerks when the clerk has no control over the situation. If somebody is abusive in manner to someone trying to help them, then the clerk has a right to say, "stop please, or come back when you are less volatile as this is something I have no control over.  I'm not referring to the clerks that just don't want to be helpful, but if the computer breaks, don't yell at them they had nothing to do with that. I'm seeing this happen more and more. I think it is a shame and a really not good way to get what you want. I would give them a time out. Take an extra 5 minutes to "goof up" if need be. Not that I ever have, but I think it would be fair.

Today's Thoughts From a Restless Mind

So as I've been saying for a few weeks now, I have been tackling the overwhelming task of cleaning out my craft room, deciding on what to do with the 'found' art and I'm happy to say that after 3 weeks, I am done with the closet. The furs are all hung and in their summer storage bags. Boots are all in order and the shelves still have a lot of stuff I don't know if I want to part with yet. I found a simple tiny pillbox that had one word on a piece of glass in it. It said "HOPE" how appropriate is that in this time of a full moon that has been very trying for everyone. I think it is because the sun is in Cancer.

Handmade Box

Hope In a Box

This is the box and handpainted glass that says "HOPE" It is so welcomed during these times. Times that can be difficult. Times that can be trying, when you feel there is no hope left. That poem perhaps later in the week.

Well the full moon is waning and the sun is still in Cancer, but only for another few days then maybe things will get back to normal. What is normal anyway? We can talk about that for a minute. One person's normal is another s psychosis. You've all read, I hope, the couple of poems I have posted for your enjoyment. I have lots more, but I will spare you most of them because even tho they are very dark and frightening to some, they are lifesavers to others. That is how I define normal. Whatever is ok with you. I don't have to agree with you, I just have to accept you and realize we are not cookie cutter people. You should take that advise and realize that everyone is different and everyone is the same. A contradiction for sure. Look at the word "HOPE" it is the one thing that ties us together. We must continue to hope. Hope for a better world, a better outlook, more patience, Hope my friends is what ties us together no  matter what the circumstances of our being is. Hope for some Christians I know that Christ will return soon. Hope it is a universal setting that is hardwired into us.

What happens when you lose hope? You lose your life, you lose your focus, you lose your soul. You have nothing to look forward to because you have lost all hope. If that ever happens to you, see a Dr. or a medical professional, chances are you have depression. On the other hand, it could mean you really have nothing you feel is worthwhile to live for. If you ever get there, see somebody fast. The clergy, a Dr. a friend, but friends never live without hope. I was feeling blue and had a lot on my mind when I found that little box, it reminded me how much I have to hope for in this life.

I hope to meet new friends, to have coffee with my daughter, to see my grandchildren, to watch the fireworks to listen to a song I love. Hope is what roots us all. Hold on tight to it my friends. I once lost mine. That was scary. So here is a song full of hope for you all.

http://youtu.be/rfUYuIVbFg0

Today's Craft Tip: Using borders for your scrapbooks. Cut the border into a squiggly line, do another in a different color and braid them together to make a great border, On each curve you can place stickers, or any 'found' art like a stone painted with hope or love or use a wooden piece to glue on like a pumpkin if it is an autumn page. Be creative and don't add too much to take away from the pictures. You can add a 1/4 piece of card-stock and paste a playing card on it if it is a party night page. Do it at an angle for it to have the most effect. Perhaps put a little sepia color to the edges or tear them and color the edges of the piece.

I hope today's post was helpful, fun, informative and enough nonsense to make you smile. I HOPE so anyway.

Nonsense for Today

Sorry my beloved followers. I have not posted the past couple of days. I've been learning to type and do 10 key so I can get a job. Even tho I've been typing all my life, I can only type codes. I'm getting faster at the 10 key. Yay then, you can teach an old dog how to clip their nails or something like that.

So since not much else going on as I've been in the 'craft' room trying to downsize everything I own. Rebekah is getting a LOT of stuff. You can share it or it will be bday gifts for the girls. I have the tea set for Autumn I finally found. Don;t tell her tho. I'll send it all in separate bundles, but if you have no use for it Rebekah, do what I do, regift. Oh yeah, save some loot. It;s all new, never been used stuff.

I have found pictures of my dog, aww I miss Mutley, my daughter in her elf costume that one year she was an elf and sitting on Santa's lap. Ughhhh... I think we all know my issues with Xmas. I found a project i started on for Rebekah 7 years ago and another that I started on 7 years ago. I had been looking for them for years. I've thrown out at least 18 huge bags of 'art' i just couldn't live without. At the time, however, I was doing a lot of art that required weird things to use. Bottle caps from Mexican soda. It may not be that odd to some people, but here it is. So much OLD one piece jewelry that I would use for everything. Nothing really good, except for the last name of an ex co-worker from Guatemala on a pair of cufflinks. I asked him if he wanted them cuz I was just gonna throw them out anyway. Might as well give them to someone who can use them.

So will be selling a lot of brand new craft items. Lots of scrapbooking if you do that let me know. I'll give it to you for a great price if not free. All is Creative Memories stuff. a ton of rubber stamps. Some from Stampin' Up, but don't really care for cutsey stamps so lots of really cool ones. If you are crafty, I'm the girl to talk to .

I am beyond flattered that the Pixel Project, a Domestic Violence organization that I volunteer my time and resources to in order to Stop Violence Against Women Now is publishing one of my poems on their blog. I will get the address of the blog and post it here and you can check out which one they picked. How nice to ask me for a poem and my picture. The woman who founded it, Regina Yau form Malaysia even asked if she could use my real name. Some survivors can't use their names because the exes are crazy.  Yeah they sure as hell are. But I am allowing it. Anyway, what an honor to be asked and to provide help to women the world over. I just know each time I tweet a helpline I am saving a life. So look for that blog address in my next post and I believe they are posting the poem next Thursday. Anyone want to volunteer to be an Ambassador to the Pixel Project? Let me know, I'll get you in touch with the people you need to be in touch with,

I am posting a poem today for my readers. I don't think this is too dark for most people, but keep in mind, it is NOT about me, it is about everyone. Whatever you get out of my poems is what it means to you. I have given you all a link to my poems, I add more each week. This one is called

                                                    Windows

It is said that the eyes are the windows to the soul
If such things are possible and you can see a soul through the eyes
How would you know how old the soul is
Is it a brand new one, a long recycled one or are they all
New?

When you travel the world, the things
You see are the windows to the Earth’s soul
For it is a living breathing thing we must protect it,
Surely you’ve heard that it is so
Fragile.

The stones placed just so in the countryside
The monoliths that pay homage to the Gods
The triangles that jut from the desert floor
The carvings in the dirt you can see only from on
High.

These are the windows to the Earth
These are the things we lived as a species
Who put them there
Why did they put them there
How did they make them so perfect and for whom or
What?

The soldiers in the ground, most mounted
Ready for battle, none alike over 2000
The ruins remain for us to find them
Civilizations long since extinct
How?

The beauty of the oceans
What lies underneath
The waves that crash against the sands
For us to find, too far down to
Go.

The heavens, stars that continuously
Burn and die, yet the favorite ones
Have been there since time immemorial
Lie or look up to see them all every night same place
Why?

Do you see the beauty
The creativity the Earth holds
For each of us if we just look
At each part in its own corner
Travel.

See the soul of the Earth
See the treasures it holds
For those bold enough
To go forth and see what there is to
See.

Look at the structures you encounter
Look at the hills you climb
Look under the water you are playing in
Look at the stars as the night
Descends.

Look at the soul of yourself in the mirror
Gazing into bright blue, green, brown, grey
Eyes. Reflecting back at you from your
Own face, they are your windows to your
Soul

See how you blend into Mother Earth
What the plan is for your soul
Along with her soul
How old are the souls we have here looking back at us from the
Mirrors

The windows to the souls of human
The windows of the Earth
The dawn of creativity
The beauty of the creations on this
Earth

Enjoy my friends and tomorrow I plan to post a recipe. Hopefully. till then Peaceout

Weekend happenings

Hi All,

Well had a great time from the engagement party on Thursday, beautifully hosted by Bridjette. Bridjette owned the travel agency I worked for when I first came to Alaska. Lisa, the bride was the manager. We all still keep in touch after 20 years of knowing each other and get together 2-3 times per year. I normally don't make those meetings because I was always working, but so good to see them all again. Been a minute or two.

For the party, Don, Bridjette's husband made the most succulent, fabulous fresh King Salmon. It was orgasmic. Bridjette made a fabulous veggie lasagna. She also had a feast for the group. We all took home Godiva chocolates. I love me some Bridjette. She is a cancer survivor so especially wonderful I was able to see her.

Susan, another woman I worked with at the agency, in fact whose place I took as she has been on maternity leave for 18 years. Yea, just the one child. LOL a huge joke for us. But so happy she got to raise her child and not worry about it. She is also a cancer survivor and again, wonderful to catch up.

This group has always been fun, motivational and just good people. I was blessed for a couple of days with them.

Fun fact for my many friends that watch the Colbert Report. Her son in law, Mike, writes for Stephen. Interesting. I love the show as you know. She has very successful wonderful children and it was a pleasure to hear about it after so many years.

The wedding was wonderful. Lisa married her fiance, Tom. Her song to walk the aisle for her ceremony, Mr Rogers Neighborhood. She married a Mr Rogers. They will live in Tennessee. I will miss her. She taught me a lot and has such integrity, I can only aspire to. So very happy for her. This is her 1st marriage. They met on eHarmony.com I kknoowwww..... Awesome. Tom seems nice and knwo we will kill him if he hurts our Lisa.

Lisa & Tom before the ceremony

This Kiss,This Kiss Unstoppable

The Wedding Dress

It's all cupcakes!!!

Susan, Me, Kathy & Evelyn

Lunch was served prior to ceremony which was wonderful. It was a fabulous potluck and that way nobody was starving during ceremony, we could concentrate on the vows. I wrote them a personal wedding poem that I hope they liked and lyrics to a song that is perfect for them.

So it was a good weekend. Saw old friends, watched a marriage take place and had a great time.

Sorry I'm late today/ BEST EVER KEY LIME PIE RECIPE on todays blog

Ok my Lovelies,

As promised I am sharing my super secret Key Lime Pie Recipe. If you read a couple of days back, you will see what I had to go thru to get it. From a cruise ship chef it is the BEST Key Lime Pie I have ever had. Absolutely refreshing and not too sour and fabulous. Whoever makes this, I want some feedback on your opinion. I know Andrea is from Florida where Key Limes grow, so I need to be sure it will stand up to her taste. Here you are my fun friends:

Ingredients:

11/2 pints sweetened condensed milk
4 egg yolks
2/3 cup KEY LIME JUICE/ I can't stress enough it has to be KEY LIME JUICE, not regular lime juice
1 cup fresh whipped cream
1 9" pre baked pie shell, you can buy a pie shell and just bake it as it says for this.

Procedure:

Beat the egg yolks and condensed milk until well blended, maybe 2 minutes

GRADUALLY add small amounts of Key Lime Juice and blend in until you get a good consistency  then add more until you've used all the Key Lime Juice.

Pour the mixture into the pre baked pie shell, refrigerate for 2 hours

Dealers choice here: you can cover it with whipped cream, or serve each slice with one or dollops of whipping cream

Store in refrigerator.

WARNING: Extremely rich, a small slice is more than sufficient. This is a great crowd pleaser. I take it to all potlucks I attend. no effort and seriously THE BEST KEY LIME PIE EVER.
Enjoy it and feedback from whoever bakes it please.

In other news, I spent the day with Carrie. We went shopping and had lunch at Thai Town. YUMMM. We talked about a lot of things, but she gave me the sweetest card that said I was like a mom to her and I was the only person she really trusts because I always give her support and sound advise. I cried a little. It was so sweet. I'm glad she has someone to talk to who has been in many places she has been and can give her advise. Also that she can call me whenever to vent or to talk. It was a lovely afternoon.

It's that heart thing I did not even know I had. It is tiny and black like this <3 on the xray. All the young ladies I have helped over the years have been blessings. Most are in their late 30's to early 40's now, but we all formed a lasting bond. I don't know about a heart, but I am generous.

Tomorrow is an engagement party for my ex boss from 20 years ago so I will see all my old friends and co-workers. One of them has been on maternity leave for 17 years. We've always kept in touch over the years getting together for lunch or dinner whenever we all could. That is nice. Now one is getting married on Saturday and I could not be more excited for her. I cannot wait to meet the lucky guy who gets her. Her 1st marriage. Nice she waited until the ONE came along. So it should be some fun. Looking forward to it.

The cat has lost weight from being outside this summer. I can't call him Fatass anymore. he hasn't brought many mice home to trade for treats tho. He get the treats anyway. I'm a pushover.

Ok that is it for this post. Sorry it is so late. I've had computer issues and have been on shat with Sony all evening. They got it fixed tho. YAY Sony.

Peaceout my friends and see you if not tomorrow then this weekend. I am getting ready for this wedding on Saturday. I wore a ball and chain to my last wedding. No lie. I seriously did. That might have presented the problems huh? Hindsight. Ah well you know. I thought it was funny.

Today's News Rants

Anthony cleared of murdering Caylee

So all the hoopla over this case today. I'm hearing from all over how this was a travesty of justice. She killed her, she's another OJ. First of all she can't afford lawyers that OJ did. Secondly does nobody understand the justice system in the USA? Forget Nancy Grace, she is just an embarrassment. The justice system does not CARE if you sit on a jury and you are POSITIVE she did it, your instructions are to follow the Judges orders. Consider ONLY the evidence that was ALLOWED into submission. You can speculate all you want and you can still be positive, but you MUST look at only the authorized evidence. Otherwise it is REASONABLE DOUBT.  It would be hard to sit on a jury like that. You may know she did it, I personally have no idea, BUT I can't say hey she did it, I just know it. I have to look at the evidence in front of me and put aside my personal feelings. So sorry America, but you're gonna have to deal with the fact that according to our legal system she is innocent.

Which begs the question, in a circumstantial case, how many innocent people actually go to jail? Would you consider that fair? In these days of DNA, blood evidence and such, you'd think we'd never make a mistake, but sadly that is not the case. Pink sings a song in which the lyrics go "No child left behind, we're not dumb and we're not blind, they're all sitting in your cells, while you pave the road to Hell" From Dear Mr President (Bush era) lyrics. So thinking about that, you can listen to entire song on you tube. It is her best work I think. So thinking about that lyric, how many young minority people go to jail for years for nothing? My own son was incarcerated because his attorney did not want to work for him. He did it, but did not deserve 8 years in prison for stealing a stereo system. His Public Defender said that he deserved whatever he got. He was 17. He did not know he could ask for a new attorney and his father besides being an idiot did not care. I had no idea or I would have gone to Reno and done it for him. In any case, he serves HARD time for a minor crime.

Where am I going with this? I'm simply saying that the jury MUST consider all evidence presented to them. A lot depends on the attorney's competence. A lot depends on tainted evidence and inadmissible evidence. So while someone sits in jail for something that should have been a year at most, probation doesn't. If this woman killed her daughter, she does deserve it. Justice has a blindfold on her. So I don't know. Maybe she did and maybe she didn't. She was found innocent. Karma has a way of working out the details.

In other news we have Prince Albert and his bride. Prince Albert 'trying to persuade Charlene Wittstock to stay in marriage'

Yeah, so this looks promising. he has always been a playboy since the day he turned 15. If this is his child who is really gonna be surprised and she really doesn't expect him to be faithful does she? It is a tradeoff and I can guarantee you that before his father died, he gave him a hard day to get married. He needs a legitimate heir. Once she gives him that, I'm sure she will be free to live her life as she chooses. Monaco is not bad, my favorite place on Earth and if you incredibly wealthy, better. I adore Monaco. Anyway, you have GOT to see the photos of the honeymoon suite and lodgings. WOW. We will see her give him an heir, then you watch, she will either spend her 'leisure' time in South Africa or doing as she pleases in Monaco. Just like Grace did. I hope she does not end up like Grace is all.

In yet other fabulous news, Scope of Yellowstone River oil spill may grow

Way to go Exxon. That's all. I am speechless about this at this point. Yes, well stop wishing I actually were speechless followers. LOL Oh but make sure the Republicans continues to give hte big tax breaks to Big Oil. Great idea morons.

Then we have this bit of good news depending on your take on it. Reverse Engineering the Marijuana ‘Munchies’: What Causes Binge Eating?
Now I'd like to know who they got to do this 'study'? hmmm, note to self, check that shit out. If you watch a movie called the Union about Hemp and Marijuana, available on Google for free I think, it is eye opening. I'm sure the snack food companies are like Whaaa???? SHUT UP!!!! yep, they are for sure.

In other helpful news today: How to beat pesky airline fees - 1 - air travel savings
yea so they made over 3.1 BILLION in baggage fees alone. All the while whining about how much money they are losing. I used to be the BEST travel agent. You can ask any of my clients that I never met over the course of 28 years all word of mouth in all 50 states and 3 other countries. I don't say I was a Travel Goddess, they did. The airlines put an end to my career that I loved so much by not paying us commissions anymore. Couldn't afford it. I remember when we used to get dressed up to fly, when it was fun, when the attendants were friendly, the ground agents helpful and the pilots let you go to the cockpit. Okay I understand why you can't do that anymore, but customer service does not need to down either. A friend of mine on Twitter, Andrea, was tweeting that Delta was charging SOLDIERS returning from a tour of duty in the Middle East $25 per bag. Thanks for serving your country now pay up. They rescinded the fees later that day, but why would they charge them to begin with to a military person returning from a WAR???? I could go on for hours and ok my friends who know me well and actually know I would rant forever about the airlines.

This kinda makes me sad. Apple passes RIM in U.S. to be No. 2 in smartphone market share  so the iPhone takes 2nd place behind the far superior Android platform and the far superior security of the Blackberry. I hate Apple and Steve Jobs sucks if you ask me. He can make all the money he want's to, but get with it, bring the work back to America, not leave it in China and Mexico. That just pisses me off. It pisses me off when anyone does it, but with all the money he makes on Apple products he can afford US labor. Before you jump me about Android phones, Android is the operating system and is produced in America by Google. the phones themselves are made by whatever manufacturer makes them. Some are based in Korea, Japan, whatever. the American companies should have American labor. I could be wrong on this, but I think Blackberry has it's phones made in Canada where they have their headquarters. Anyway, my point here is SUCK IT JOBS!!!!

Ok I think I'm done with the rant for today, I asked the President a question on the tweety, if you want to and want him to answer it do this @barrakobama (ask question) #askobama I did ask him not to send round any black suburbans or helicopters to my neighborhood now. We'll see. Anyway, if ya got something to say to the pres, here is your chance.

K,everyone have a fabulous day and be cool in the summertime. Did you know that the sun entered into the astrological sign of Cancer on June 21st and stays there the entire cyclical term of Cancer? Yep leaves Cancer on July 22nd. So I wrote a poem about that fact alone. Dark as usual, but I like it. It shall give someone hope. Even the darkest ones do. Anyway that poem is called Sun in Cancer and is on my poem website. It is written strictly based on the fact that the sun is in Cancer this year for the entire term.

Peaceout my friends. Recipe tomorrow for Key Lime Pie. The best EVER. Seriously try it out and see if you don't agree.

Happy Fourth of July // Craft tip for the week

Been a little busy around here. Everyone needs to be safe tonight while setting off fireworks. Enjoy yourself and did anyone see the beautiful display of the Capitol fourth of July show on PBS? Holy Cow, those were some incredible fireworks, and the whole show was fabulous.

Ok, so I've decided to give a craft tip each week to you guys. I am the Queen of Crafting. Well actually the Queen of Everything. So if you craft, or want to pass on to a friend who might be stuck  for ideas. I have 3 deco books I've done with a round robin and a lot of cards, scrapbooks, etc. I know what I'm talking about, is what I'm trying to say, so I shall share my creativity with you all cuz to be honest, all my energy is going into writing these days.

WOW, the stuff I find in my craft room, you cannot fathom the stuff i have and have kept to use as "found art" it is stuff you can tear up, like a dictionary, maps, cards, dominoes, board games, pieces to games. flowers, stickers. actual wallpaper samples childrens books you can make anything look antique or even the compasses I have. Really Michaels and Ben Franklingand Hobby someplace have NOTHING on the stuff I've found this month. You know, if I were still doing it, I would need that stuff. But I have thousands of dollars invested in this craft stuff. I'm going to sell most of it and even the 'found art' will be sold. People might want to tear out their favorite passage from the bible in German or Japanese or English and put it on a card or in a scrapbook. Color the edges of the page to match the type of page you are working on and Voila! a masterpiece. So here is my tip for the day for my crafters out there:

Use something you normally would not. It doesn't matter if you are making a card, a book, or a scrapbook, take a piece out of a dictionary, shorthand book, atlas, poetry, calendar, whatever you have, tear it so it fits your space take a color pad or a marker or a paintbrush or chalk and color the edges of the piece you tore out. Don't make it too linear, burn the edges is always nice too, then put in your project, and look at the wonderful effect that 'found art' can do for you. Next week we will explore what to do with jewelry you no longer use. Or earrings that have only one, don't toss it, you can use it.

I've decided to do a recipe once per month as well. So in the next few days I will share with you the BEST Key Lime Pie you will EVER have and it takes only 10 minutes to make. I got it from a cruise ship chef. am not gonna tell you what I had to do to get it. Suffice it to say it was a Greek crew, my second favorite flavor, it was Greek Easter and OMG... Becky & I went to the crew party. Oh man, that was fun. Danced until 6am, drank Ouzo, the captain dancing on the tables and lots of OPA! going on. Really all I had to do was ask the chef, he just gave it to me. Anyway, by 7am, the waitstaff had the dining room all cleaned and ready to go. Those guys work like dogs. Otherwise that trip was like the posiedon adventure.

This week also let's do something new. No matter what it is, get out there and get out of your comfort zone and do something cool, fun, challenging or whatever. Then let me know what you did. I'm going to do the same thing. I'll report back by next week what I did that was outside my comfort zone. Outside is pretty much outside my comfort zone. So whatever I do, it's gonna entail outside I bet.

Does anyone have anything they want to bring up, talk about or anything? If not then I guess that this is it for today's nonsense. Everyone did get the update to my poetry site right? If not, let me know and I'll make sure you get it. it is on a post here, so check out all the other posts as well. I haven't read the news today, but perhaps some ranting by tomorrow. YAY, something to look forward to.

On that note. The CIA is pissed off that somebody hacked their website, You gotta wonder why a SECRET organization has a website to begin with huh? So is that where I apply to be a CIA assassin? Anyone have that web address?  Idiots. Sheesh. That's our country....

Happy 4th of July and Peaceout my groovy friends.

Summertime

Went to Costco yesterday. It was packed, Call me silly, but since this is a long holiday weekend, shouldn't people (not me of course) be out camping or something? I mean isn't that what normal people do? We all know I'm not normal, so nuff said. My idea of camping is the Marriott with no Room Service. In fact if you want the perfect picture of me camping, watch the movie Troop Beverly Hills. Shelley Long is me, in spades.

Tomorrow is Seward Alaska's big day. The Mt Marathon race. People tun up a shale rock mountain and back down it again, usually actually fall down it, but they do it every year. Whackos. They go all out for he 4th of July. The Coast Guard cutter Mustang will set off fireworks and the race, festivities, the bars willl be packed. If there is a cruise ship in, OMG. Yeah, I went to the 4th of July festivities once. It was CRAZY down there.

You know what I don't understand? I've lived her for over 20 years and I don't get why they have fireworks. Really. They are illegal to set off anywhere but the incredibly small town of Huston, Seriously, the population is about 90. It is the only place you can legally buy or sell fireworks, just outside of Wasilla, Easy for Sarah to watch from her house. In any case, most people wait till midnight to set them off, They buy 'em anyway and ignore the giant signs that say fireworks are illegal in the Municipality of Anchorage on the drive back from Huston. Plus it is still light out at midnight, so not like you can see them really well. You can't. On New Years Eve you can, it is dark most the time. Also they may life the ban on New Years cuz we have snow and it's less likely to start a fire.

So the Cutter Mustang will set off the fireworks tomorrow at midnight in Seward, here in Anchorage we have our own show, down by the water, an 'expert' sets them off at midnite. Still not really that "ooohhhh aaahhhh" experience cuz it's too freaking light!!! They should wait till dusk at about 2am then release the pretty lights. then dawn comes at about 330am. Maybe it's just me and maybe we want to feel normal like other people during the 4th of July. No clue, but WTH...

So why aren't these idiots camping? They are all over town, every where I go i see people. They should leave town and me alone here so I can do what I need to do without traffic. Not like we have REAL traffic, but it's annoying enough.

Today is a bright sunny day, still working in my craft room, clearing out the garbage and getting the stuff ready to sell. then come storage units. OMG. It will never end, I may have to do a trade show or something this year to get rid of it all. If you need makeup, perfume, handbags, clothing (designer) shoes or partylite candle crap, talk to me.

Dr has cleared me for exercise. I can now resume disco dancing in the mornings. I need a disco ball I think to make it more real. Some of the platform boots that they wear in Mamma Mia and the jumpsuit i will bedazzle myself. Sounds like I'll be ready to dance. Right now I wear yoga pants and a tshirt but i lost 15 pounds when I was dancing every morning. Gained most of it back after surgery cuz Dr said I could not exercise anything that would contract my abdomen for like 3months. Sheesh.

I hope everyone go the new address for the poetry website i posted my poetry on, don't forget the 2nd page. I think there are a couple of poems there too. Please leave feedback good or bad.

Ok everyone have a great 4th of July, BBQ or something and if I don't see you tomorrow, i should post again by Tuesday.

Peaceout my friends.

Nonsense and Babbling today

So I spent the day once again in my craft room. OMG. So much crap in there. Anyway am making a dent. Then watched a few movies. Hot Tub Time Machine was awesome, very funny. I liked it.

Received my new lingerie today. I ordered it like 2 days go. This company is FANTASTIC. www.jadamichaels.com Jada is sweet, efficient and I really can't say enough good things about this woman. She was so helpful when I needed a question answered, she got back to me right away. Resetting the coupons to use and all. I highly recommend her to anyone if you need lingerie. It shipped and I got it all in TWO DAYS!!! Unheard of in ALASKA shipping. Jada is very efficient. She has reasonable prices and beautiful pieces for any figure type to flatter. Remember I am a stylist so I know what I'm talking about.

Still trying to find Carrie to have lunch or something. Haven't seen her in person for a couple of months.

Am very proud of my daughter,Nichole. Her new website for her company is awesome. Coding Concepts. She has a medical coding and billing business. Very good for her. I'm very proud of her and what she's accomplished in this. Shout out to you Nichole.

Also have found some time to write this week. Poetry is always popping out of my head, so I wrote a new Poem today. Working on novel. Time is my enemy.

Have totally become addicted to a website called getglue.com. seriously addicted. I am a guru for Monte Carlo, The city, not the movie, Rita Dove and The Guardian. Working on becoming Guru for Malta. I think I am for one other thing as well. YAY then. Gotta love that. It takes my time when I should be tweeting, writing or on FB, There is always something to waste your time if you ask me. Too many things.

Haven't seen much of my daughter, Ashely. She is spending her time with her no good boyfriend that is not gonna last at all and she even agrees, but i wonder why she wastes her time and his.She is not getting any younger. he is mentally abusive to her. How can MY daughter end up in a domestic violence relationship? MY daughter. I am so against it, always giving resources, advised her she was in that kind of relationship. her self esteem plunges when she has spent time with him. He is a lazy no good, nothing. I am rarely wrong when it comes to men.

In fact I was wrong about a man recently and this man reconfirmed why i hate men so much, and why they cannot be trusted. Thanks dude for reminding me. It is awesome to know I am rarely wrong about men. I was wrong about you tho. You know who you are.

Anyway, I'm thinking that just no men is a good option. So I shared with Ashley. If I could live her life for her it would be so much easier cuz I've already made the mistakes and paid for them. But I guess we can't do that huh?

Perhaps I'm a bit too hormonal this week to live her life for her. Yes I know there are nice men out there, I just fail to find them hanging around anywhere. Seems that all the men she dates are "fixers" you know what I mean. You can't fix anyone. I try to tell her to think, look at options and don't dive into a relationship so fast. take your time. If it is true everlasting love now, it will be in two years. Which reminds me, I found a poem I wrote years ago. It is on the website I gave you yesterday.

K well that is all for now. Oh they got my phone fixed and now it works again. YAY then.

Till next time, y'all be good and comment on whatever you'd like to.

Happenings Around Anchorage

Happenings around Anchorage today. Nothing. Still downsizing, but it requires a lot of effort to get thru the crap I have to throw away before I get to the stuff I need to sell. I used to use all the crap I'm throwing away. It's called 'found art' but it was most helpful in deco books, cards, scrapbooks, etc. Rip stuff all apart and glue it on. Now it is just going in the trash. Kinda sad to see it all go, but time to close that chapter of my life. Time to move on and do other things. Concentrate on my writing and other interests.

So not hearing a lot of chatter from my followers and peeps. Feedback is fun and so is what I try to mostly post. Here is a great link for a download for a telescope for your desktop or laptop computer. Check it out: http://www.worldwidetelescope.org/Home.aspx
Pretty awesome huh? Love space stuff.

Ok well not doing a lot lately to chatter about. So we come to the end of today's post. have an awesome day.
