Nonsense, Craft Tip, Recipe, Shopping Tip & FAB shoes I found

Hi All,

Ok after having battled and won the fight with last weeks full moon.I am back with fun stuff for all. I really do hope you all read my last post as depressing as it was and will help as you can by RT or Sharing on FB. It's not much of your time and believe me, you ARE saving a life. Thanks.

So today I'm gonna share a craft tip with you. It's been awhile, not sure if anyone does crafts, but if you do this is the right place to be. For a quick frame on a card or in a scrapbook or an altered book or a deco book, here is a great thing to use. Paper doilies. They come in all shapes, colors and sizes, from hearts, shamrocks, placemats, etc. The thing to do is to cut out the center if you want, if not, you certainly don't need to. Use a small to medium for a card and to offset it from center to a side or corner makes a real statement. I assume everyone has a hot glue gun????? Of course you do. I usually will then glue on something I found, like the decorations for holidays like pumpkins, shamrock pieces, or use brads to pull my design together. If you are making a card, you probably have stamping stuff. I also love to use dominoes to stamp and glue on. Makes a fabulous card to give anyone.
For a scrapbook, you'll want a large doily, unless you are adding more than one per page and I don;t recommend it, too much so if you use them in scrapbooks, I like it centered and the pic inside the frame, then decorate the page however. If you insist on using 2, make them small and break it up with something down the middle horizontally of the page. Great lacy frames, pretty cheap, and looks great.

Today's shopping tip. Have I done a shopping tip yet? If not, about time I do. In the upscale thrift shops, they are putting out their fall stuff now, so you can get some killer prices on the summer stuff. I almost bought a pair of Cristian Louboutin shoes for $245. I can see your jaws dropping now. That is a STEAL for his shoes, which range in the $1700-$3000 price range. They were my size, beautiful diamond look straps and that distinctive red sole. Never worn either, which makes them more valuable. I passed as I could not justify that with all the shoes I have and the back strap did not stay up. So I went today thinking, ya know I could resell these on Ebay for a hefty commission if you will. Instead I found these Emilio Pucci 1" heels mules actually that were going for $140. Too much for Pucci, but I do love him and really that is not a bad price for them, but for me, I have to be in LOVE with them. Turns out they were only $36 on sale because they are considered a summer item. This is what they look like. I adore them. Perfect for jeans and almost any casual outfit. the great thing is I will get a LOT of wear out of these as opposed to the others which were for a night out. I rarely go out at night, so the Pucci a more practical purchase as well. As much as I'd a pair of Louboutins, it worked out like it was supposed to.

They are much more colorful than this, but absolutely FAB. I am in love and for just $36 I couldn't get a pair of crap at Payless. I'll be wearing the hell out of these.
So shopping tip, go to the second hand stores, either upscale or not, they are all having sales to get rid of the summer stock and add in the fall stock. You will save a bundle.

Alrighty then, the recipe of the day is going to be a delish summer dish called:

BBQ Feta and Hot Banana Pepper Turkey Burgers

Anyway these look pretty good and if you've not tried anything new for a bit, give 'em a go and let me know, cuz I don't cook anymore.

So Le Chat, (the cat in French) is a maniac. He is really out of his little cat mind. He had to get off my chair last night, and lay on the floor, fully stretched out like a rag doll and I just killed him. He has run amok around the house marking everything with his paws and writing "MINE" or "MINE AS WELL" He does allow me to sleep in the king size bed, which I think is really saying something. He has come a long way, but if I sleep in HIS king sized bed, he MUST lean against me all night. If I move, he moves. He is quite cute tho, who doesn't love Le Chat? Anyone seen a pic of him? So cute.....Look:

He is a lot bigger now but I like to still think of him as that cute little Satans spawn that came over one day

He couldn't go outside to sit and wait for a field mouse to run across his paws to kill it, cuz he's too damn lazy to chase one. It rained like a monsoon all day today. So poor KiKi had to stay inside all day. I had to brave the elements and go to the Dr and then grocery shopping.

I hate grocery shopping. I truly do. It annoys me. I know you folks elsewhere probably have good veggies and lovely fruit. Well GOOOOODDDDD for you. We don't. Oranges are what we get most of, can't really screw them up. During the holidays I can get fresh figs, but not a great choice of fruit or veggies in Alaska. Plus super expensive. I like those drinks that are all crushed fruit, no additives and I get lots of yummy fruits without the mess of peeling a mango. Yep. I'm officially lazy when it comes to fruit. My favorite is mangoes. So if it says mango, I'm there. I also love artichokes and they are looking about like someone went 12 rounds with them in a boxing ring. So I'll wait for better ones to come along.

Dancing again to lose some weight, Using my glittery ball with the neon lights to set the mood. Nothing like a disco ball to go with your disco dancing. Adds some atmosphere. Here is a pic of my glittery ball.

So this is my glittery ball all lit up and not too lit up. Fun huh? So disco dancing is fun and this makes it all so much more fun. Hopefully I can lose the 15 lbs I gained when the Dr wouldn't let me exercise. It's a fun way to do it. I also belly dance. They really are full body workouts and that is nice. As I get older it is a bit harder to drop the weight. I know, still 25, but that is getting up there.

Alrighty peeps, thanks for your time this week, don;t forget to click on an ad so I can make a few bucks and just close out of it once you click on it.

Peaceout my friends...
