Happenings This week so Far

So I'm wondering what the heck???? The most beautiful people on Earth was just released and you can just imagine my surprise at not seeing my name there. Um, do they not know I am the President & CEO of Planet Earth? WTH??? So now I gotta call someone to get this straightened out. Sheesh. Like I have time. I am busy being beautiful and running the planet. Jerks. Yeah that's right people who decide these things. You are all jerks.

So big fat earthquake last night. Sarah Palin watched the tsunami from her house. It was a 7.4 followed immediately by another 7.4 in Adak. No friends I did not feel it. I am thousands of miles away from there. It is closer to Russia than to me. That's how I know Sarah watched it. Yep, Russia. She's got her eye on them ya know. You betcha!

Well all I could think to do was call Crescent City Calif and tell them to watch out for the oncoming tsunami. You know they blame Alaska for the worst disaster in their history. The 1964 BIG ONE, 9.4 earthquake on Good Friday. Destroyed much of Anchorage, wiped out most villages on the coast. And yes, 4 days later destroyed Crescent City Calif. I know this cuz I went to their museum and really all I could say was you're welcome, cuz without us, you;d have no museum....I mean it is perfectly poised for all tsunamis. C'mon!!! Move the town you idiots. Oh too much trouble you say? Well tell that to Shishmareff everytime they've had to move their town due to eroding shoreline. Like just cuz you're Californian you get special treatment. whatever. Besides they canceled the tsunami warning after an hour or so. Nobody cares about the Aleutians apparently. Bet those Coast Guard dudes that are on Adak do. Maybe Dutch harbor would too. That's where they sail from for the Deadliest Catch. Then the Coast Guard from Kodiak goes to rescue them.

What a gorgeous day today in Anchorage. This is so far a very nice summer. Last year almost made you want to die. Seriously DIE I tell you. it rained 32 days in a row. Daylight all day and night now. Yay... who can sleep with all that light? I have a face mask. Oh!!!!! that's probably what happened to the most beautiful people thing....I was sleeping with eye mask on and they could not see my loveliness. Well easily straightened out.

Ok recommendations for music this week. Portugal. yes it's a band. They have 2 albums out. The Man being most current. They are from Wasilla originally and as I recall back in the day they played Chilkoot Charlie's when I worked there. Wonder if Sarah heard them from her house? She lives in Wasilla. Oh back to Portugal, they are now based out of Portland Or. Signed with Atlantic Records after a few indie labels. If you listen to them, I think you will agree. Also recommended is The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. An indie rock band that is pretty good and if you can have a song called This Love Is Fucking Right! then I say you gotta be ok. Yes I like weird music. But you never know, they may become your favorite band. Have a listen on you tube.

TV recommendations. TURN THE DAMN THING OFF!!!! Seriously I am watching or listening or ignoring the TV right now. A semi truck hit an Amtrak train about 20 miles out of Lovelock Nv. Holy Moly. I have no love for Lovelock. Certain people will know why. But there were fatalities. The truck driver and 2 people from the train. WOW. Who does that? Commit suicide on your own time. Oh I take that back. I am a huge advocator to prevention of suicide. We have the largest rate of suicide in the nation. I shall pray for the passengers, the families of the fallen and I am contrite over being so cavalier. Sort of.

Movie recommendations. Green Lantern. Really good and a nice piece of eye candy in Ryan Reynolds. Be sure to stay thru the first part of the credits or you will miss something vital. I liked it. It was fun, mindless and I like green. So yeah. Green Lantern may not be too busy since not opening weekend.

Awwww how cute that the President let a little boy make a call from his limo.The kid called his mom. He's hot on that campaign trail. He'll win. GO 'BAMA!!! Yea.... If Sarah Palin gets anywhere near the white house, I move to Malta but fast.

Speaking of he kid calling his mom. My sons, I appeal to you to call me. Really, call me. So proud Eric, (youngest son) just celebrated his 10th anniversary with his wife. Congrats to them. They are still so in love. Awww.... I thought they got married the 21st, so sent them a happy anniversary FB post on Monday. Oops, that is in payback of you guys sending my birthday card a month late once. Now I won;t forget.

Tomorrow is my Birthday.... I shall be 25. Yep, that is correct, you read it right. Got a problem with that?  Anyhoo, going to movies, haven't decided which one yet, will give review afterwards.

Hmmm.... They just caught a mobster Whitey somebody living in Calif. he's been on the run for over 15 years. Dude, if you're gonna be on the run, leave the country to a place that has no extradition. I mean common sense right? Just sayin....
