Today's Thoughts From a Restless Mind

So as I've been saying for a few weeks now, I have been tackling the overwhelming task of cleaning out my craft room, deciding on what to do with the 'found' art and I'm happy to say that after 3 weeks, I am done with the closet. The furs are all hung and in their summer storage bags. Boots are all in order and the shelves still have a lot of stuff I don't know if I want to part with yet. I found a simple tiny pillbox that had one word on a piece of glass in it. It said "HOPE" how appropriate is that in this time of a full moon that has been very trying for everyone. I think it is because the sun is in Cancer.

Handmade Box

Hope In a Box

This is the box and handpainted glass that says "HOPE" It is so welcomed during these times. Times that can be difficult. Times that can be trying, when you feel there is no hope left. That poem perhaps later in the week.

Well the full moon is waning and the sun is still in Cancer, but only for another few days then maybe things will get back to normal. What is normal anyway? We can talk about that for a minute. One person's normal is another s psychosis. You've all read, I hope, the couple of poems I have posted for your enjoyment. I have lots more, but I will spare you most of them because even tho they are very dark and frightening to some, they are lifesavers to others. That is how I define normal. Whatever is ok with you. I don't have to agree with you, I just have to accept you and realize we are not cookie cutter people. You should take that advise and realize that everyone is different and everyone is the same. A contradiction for sure. Look at the word "HOPE" it is the one thing that ties us together. We must continue to hope. Hope for a better world, a better outlook, more patience, Hope my friends is what ties us together no  matter what the circumstances of our being is. Hope for some Christians I know that Christ will return soon. Hope it is a universal setting that is hardwired into us.

What happens when you lose hope? You lose your life, you lose your focus, you lose your soul. You have nothing to look forward to because you have lost all hope. If that ever happens to you, see a Dr. or a medical professional, chances are you have depression. On the other hand, it could mean you really have nothing you feel is worthwhile to live for. If you ever get there, see somebody fast. The clergy, a Dr. a friend, but friends never live without hope. I was feeling blue and had a lot on my mind when I found that little box, it reminded me how much I have to hope for in this life.

I hope to meet new friends, to have coffee with my daughter, to see my grandchildren, to watch the fireworks to listen to a song I love. Hope is what roots us all. Hold on tight to it my friends. I once lost mine. That was scary. So here is a song full of hope for you all.

Today's Craft Tip: Using borders for your scrapbooks. Cut the border into a squiggly line, do another in a different color and braid them together to make a great border, On each curve you can place stickers, or any 'found' art like a stone painted with hope or love or use a wooden piece to glue on like a pumpkin if it is an autumn page. Be creative and don't add too much to take away from the pictures. You can add a 1/4 piece of card-stock and paste a playing card on it if it is a party night page. Do it at an angle for it to have the most effect. Perhaps put a little sepia color to the edges or tear them and color the edges of the piece.

I hope today's post was helpful, fun, informative and enough nonsense to make you smile. I HOPE so anyway.
